Dedicated "Generation 1" fans have undoubtedly watched Transformers the Movie dozens of times, intimately familiar with every scene. But there’s more to this film than meets the eye! Like most movies, some proposed story moments ended up on the cutting room floor! Captured here are cels from scenes that did not make the final edit! Some segments may have been dropped entirely; others may have been re-animated for a different effect. In the case of the promotional trailer, the scenes may not have been meant for the movie in the first place. These could be considered test footage. Whether you classify these various cels as "deleted," "alternate," or simply "unused" scenes, one thing is certain—they are exceedingly unique, offering a very exciting, if limited glimpse of what might have been.Details about the cels below are based upon research and consultation of the original Transformers the Movie script, storyboards, and Japanese trade trailer footage (all of which contain unused content). I have even corresponded with some of the creative forces behind the movie. Of course, there is a also a measure of conjecture on my part. I hope you have fun looking at these mysterious cels.
